Scope and Content

Letter from Louisa Murray, Lady Stormont, to Mary Hamilton, on the birth of her son. She is happy although she would have liked a daughter. She has recovered from the birth as much as is possible and as she has 'not more confinement than what I have been so long accustomed to'. The letter continues with Stormont writing about missing Hamilton and longs for her to see her three sons. She also writes with news of their family on Lord Mansfield and Miss Murray.
