The depositor states: 'The printer who created this booklet [D/DM/1787/2] used to have a printing works located behind the High Street, Holywell, which was still operational up until the late 1960's. I visited the print works many times as a child, where Mr Williams would allow me to choose some letters, lay out a word or two, remembering to lay out the letters in reverse, and turn the handle which worked the press. As I recall, the process was entirely hand-operated, and Mr Williams would also cast letters in lead'.
