Scope and Content

Lease, 03 Apr 1868:

(i) Sir Pyers Mostyn of Talacre, co. Flint, Baronet.

(ii) George Chater the elder, Thomas Prentice Rutt, William Henry Grosvenor, Thomas Rutt, and George Chater the younger, all of 68 Cannon Street, London, paper manufacturers.

Lands in Greenfield as delineated in marginal plan together with the paper mill buildings, houses, cottages, offices, gatehouses, old Forge Mill buildings, plumber's and glazier's shop, Forge (or Abbey) Pool and Paper Mill Pool thereon, with liberty to use the water from the Holywell Stream so long as it does not injure the supply to any other mill or works.

Term: 40 years.

Rent: £280.
