Scope and Content

These records detail the history of the club from near its beginnnings in the nineteenth century through to the present day. They include the club minutes; detailed scrapbooks and albums showing the club's activities over the years; details of games played within fixture books and scoring cards; club photographs; and trophies won.

Hawarden Park Cricket Club was founded in 1866


This collection has been arranged into series according to the Series Codes issued by Flintshire Record Office. The original order of the collection has been maintained as far as possible and has been arranged into 9 series. The items within these series have been arranged chronologically.

Custodial History

Records of the cricket club remained in the custody of David Kay (Club Secretary) of Hawarden Park Cricket Club until they were deposited on loan to Flintshire County Record Office (1982-2009).
