Scope and Content

Rev. John Henry Browne, Archdeacon of Ely, and Rector of Wilburton, in consideration of the surrender of a former lease and of a certain fine lets to Albert Pell of Montague Place, Russell Square, London, the parsonage of Wilburton for a term of three lives, the lessee to pay in addition to the yearly rent a yearly rent to the curate of Wilburton. John Henry Browne appoints Hugh Robert Evans and Thomas Archer the younger, both of Ely, his attorneys to take and deliver seisin; Albert Pell appoints John Hills and James English, both of Ely, to take seisin. Witnessed by Robert Bigsby, notary public, Nottingham, and George Pepper, his clerk. On the back is a receipt for the agreed sum paid by Albert Pell, signed by John Henry Browne. Witnessed by the same. Also on the back is a memorandun of delivery of seisin. Witnessed by Samuel Water and Edward Clark, both of Haddenham, Cambs.
