Mexico: Hospital de San Andr?s

The collection comprises a detailed financial report on the state of the hospital, dated 1819 (WMS/Amer.80) and a prescription book for the women's section of a large hospital, dated 1840 and conjecturally assigned to the Hospital de San Andr?s (WMS/Amer.87).

The Hospital de San Andr?s was founded in the city of Mexico in 1779. During the nineteenth century it was the most important hospital in the city.

The papers are available subject to the usual conditions of access to Archives and Manuscripts material, after the completion of a Reader's Undertaking.
