Administrative / Biographical History
The Western Valleys Sewerage Board was established in 1903 by Act of Parliament to provide sewerage in the Western valleys of Monmouthshire. It was a joint board made up of representatives of Abercarn, Abertillery, Ebbw Vale, Nantyglo & Blaina and Risca Urban District Councils.
