Ivan Tikhonovich Pososhkov (1652-1726) wrote works on ecclesiastical and social issues and was an advocate of reform in Russia. He was arrested in 1725, following the publication of The book of poverty and wealth (1724), his work on Russian political economy, and died in prison.
