A larger file that has been divided into several sections. The first two sections are both labelled 'Distortion of pituitary region', the third 'herniation', the fourth 'iter, 3rd ventricle, & pituitary tumours', and the fifth 'odd', all of which give the names of the patient's at the beginning. There are a number of other sketches loose in the back of a variety of different conditions including medulloblastoma, granuloma, tuberculoma, cholesteatoma, and astrocytoma. The drawings relate to approximately fifty different patients. It is assumed the majority of these drawings relate to the work of Geoffrey Jefferson but the fourth section contains a number produced in relation to the work of Edward Wing Twining (1887-1939).
Some of the surviving finished pieces of artwork produced as a result of these sketches can be found in the collection Medical Illustrations of Dorothy Davison, see VFA.7.82, VFA.7.114, VFA.7.115, VFA.7.120, VFA.7.125, VFA.7.131, VFA.7.181, VFA.7.183, VFA.7.232, VFA.7.233, VFA.7.250, VFA.7.251, VFA.7.260, VFA.7.268, VFA.7.276 & VFA.7.338.
