From September 1946 to June 1947 PB participated in the lecture programme of POW re-education for German prisoners held in camps around Britain. This series contains c. 50 reports of these lectures, which give details of prisoner reaction and morale at the different camps. It also contains correspondence with the POW Division of the Foreign Office concerning his employment, itineraries with details of PB's work and travel arrangements and various camp magazines he acquired during the course of his visits.
