Contains correspondence, circulars, publicity material and related records of PB's involvement with the exile trade union movement led by Hans Gottfurcht as well as exile socialist groups like the Union of German Socialist Organisations in Great Britain, the German Social Democratic Party and the Freiheitsbund Deutscher Sozialisten and figures including Hans Ebeling and Kurt Hiller. It includes publications produced mainly by left-wing groups and individuals (but also other organisations including governmental bodies) on matters such as anti-Vansittartism and political resistance in Nazi Germany; rebuilding the trade union movement in Germany; engaging young people / youth movements; rebuilding the Germany economy. There are also some records relating to Communist exile organisations.
