Scope and Content

Hand drawn and painted romanticised colour illustration, of heavy black lines and a colour wash. The image is of a young girl, leaning on a field gate, looking across hills to the setting sun. With two grey goats in the foreground. With heavy black hand drawn lines and a colour wash. The illustration has a black border, and is pasted to a textured cream card.

Note: the signature on 13/4 and 5 seems to have the date '11' suggesting 1911.

Physical Characteristics and/or Technical Requirements

The card is warped, with dirty marks in places (plus general build up of dirt), some foxing, and some small tears to the edges. The colours are fresh. Production method: hand drawn in ink, hand painted in watercolour.
