Scope and Content

Postcard of a black and white photograph of a classical bronze statue, of a man standing with an outstretched arm. The other arm is missing from above the elbow. Upper body only. Printed on cream card, the reverse has a manuscript message in black, and two postage stamps.

Physical Characteristics and/or Technical Requirements

Poor condition. Yellowed, black marks (from the franking ink) top right and right edge of front. Abrasions on corners, and very small tear left edge. Some faint foxing. Creases top right quarter. Brown discolouration on the reverse, top centre and around the postage stamps. Production method: mechanically printed from a photograph, on card.
