Deeds and papers collected by a Chester solicitor, 1561-1939, consisting of Wepre Hall estate papers, 1745-1920, including deeds, 1745-1877; sale particulars, 1825-1920; legal papers, 1752-1920; Sandycroft Brick and Tile Co. records, 1870-1905; papers of the Winstanley family, 1812-1867; deeds relating to land in Flintshire, 1640-1938; records relating to Wrexham Market Hall, 1825-1923; Llay Hall Colliery and Brickworks records, 1874-1901; deeds relating to land in Denbighshire, 1561-1939; and deeds relating to Anglesey, 1841-1899; Caernarfonshire, 1819-1907; and Merionethshire, 1842.

Administrative / Biographical History

A firm of solicitors in Chester, Cheshire, accumulated a group of deeds and documents relating to Flintshire and elsewhere, including those of the Jones and Freme families of Wepre Hall, Connah's Quay, Flintshire, and the Winstanley family of Holywell, Flintshire, clockmakers, and business records, including Sandycroft Brick and Tile Co., Flintshire, and Llay Hall Colliery and Brickworks, Denbighshire.
