Scope and Content

A collection comprising Cribyn Unitarian Church register with records dating from 1826 to 1899, and including church accounts, 1851-1852, and a brief history of the church and a list of ministers, 1790-1877; together with papers of the Rev. John Islan Jones, Cribyn, Unitarian minister, which include letters, 1915-1918, whilst Jones was on active service, and a journal containing an account of tours taken by Jones, 1915-1916.

The Rev. David Evans (1860-1950) was a Unitarian schoolmaster in Cwmiago, Cribyn, near Lampeter, Cardiganshire.

David Evans, Unitarian minister and schoolmaster, was born in Lampeter. He ministered at Llanybydder from 1886 to 1892, at Lampeter from 1892-1895, and finally, from 1895, at Cribyn.
