The volume was for the use of a family whose arms feature in the illustrations, this family is possibly the Rochechouart family. The binding is French. The side of the volume is labelled 'Heures'. The manuscript bears the signature of John Symmons, and is inscribed as having been presented to Bishop Burgess by Symmons.
