Scope and Content

Contains four small watercolours (1894; 3 mounted together: 1893, n.d.); a pencil sketch (1894); two pen-and-ink sketches (1893, nd); eleven signed prints – mostly etchings (1894-1910, n.d.); and two silverpoint portraits. Together with a photograph of Hay and another of Hay with his family. Together with some associated cuttings and reproductions. Also includes a sketch of a woman’s head "done by Augustus John on my paper at the life class, University College, Liverpool, June 1902", given by Hay to Bottomley.
