Scope and Content

Titled on spine ‘VOL. 1 / G.B.’ and inscribed on front end-paper: Gordon Bottomley / Keighley / March 26th, 1887, containing a few manuscript notes on literary and historical subjects; also prize labels from books awarded to Bottomley while at the Trade & Grammar School, Keighley. Together with other cuttings relating to the Bottomley family, including one on Bottomley's wedding, and other local families, and two letters to Alfred Bottomley from Dr John Milligan and Rev. J. J. Thornton. Also includes a cutting relating to the death of Milligan. Also includes a printed pamphlet: A Catalogue of Books in the New Jerusalem Church Circulating Library, Keighley (1835).
