Administrative / Biographical History

The Social Workers' Benevolent Trust was established in 1971 on the initiative of the British Association of Social Workers (BASW). It was organised with the aim of giving financial help and support to people engaged in professional social work

Arrangement

A new catalogue of the archive will supersede the box list prepared before the archive was moved to the Centre and available in paper format in the Centre's searchroom.

Application forms and related correspondence are closed for 100 years from the date of application.

This collection was deposited in the Centre by the Social Workers' Benevolent Trust on 30 November 2001, 6 August 2004, 28 February and 26 July 2005.
