Administrative / Biographical History
The coroner's jurisdiction for the South Yorkshire (East District) dates from 1 April 1974. This new district superseded the coroner's jurisdiction of Doncaster County Borough and the two West Riding of Yorkshire Districts of Doncaster and Rotherham.
