Log books, containing daily observations of navigation, activities and engagements.

[1] 'Log of the proceedings of H.M.S. Sans Pareil. S.C. Dacres, Captain. Kept by Mr. S. Osborne, naval cadet. Commencing 1st August 1853. Ending 20th March 1854'. The book covers travel in the Crimea, and includes a frontispiece watercolour of the ship.

S. Osborne, a naval cadet, later midshipman, served in H.M.S. Sans Pareil, Bellerophon, Victory, and Exmouth, 1853-56.
