Comprises account book, Llanrwst tollgate, 1850 - 1851. Includes details of tolls, numbers, and types of loads (including animals), which passed through, and their owners.

Administrative / Biographical History

Llanrwst, situated in the Conwy Valley, Denbighshire, north Wales, is a town with a weekly livestock market, the focal point for many community activities in the area. The town stands on the eastern bank of the River Conwy and has an impressive stone bridge over the river that was built in 1636. Llanrwst had a population of approximately 3,600 in the period between 1830 and 1901.
