The series of business papers consists of individual rather than groups of documents concerning Addis's working life. Although there is a series of papers on Chinese loan business, 1905-09, and on Canadian banking, 1933, the majority of documents here are single items on business and financial matters, letters from colleagues, business acquaintances and public figures. Most aspects of Addis's working life are represented here, but these documents cannot be said to illustrate fully its scale or importance.There is a separate group of papers relating to the Bank of England, 1918-32, mainly Addis's notes for speeches and evidence to committees.
