1923 Jun. 25 Reparation under the treaty of Peace with Germany; Statement of damage to British civilians due to personal injury: Elizabeth Hughes on behalf of Joseph Rowland [Richard] Hughes of Copperfield, Four Mile Bridge and 99, Bedford Road, Bootle. Through the torpedoing of two ships on which Joseph Richard Hughes served as steward his mind is affected in consequence.
S. S. Manistee torpedoed on 27th June 1917.
H. M. S. Champlain torpedoed 21st August 1918.
