On 19 July last, Robert Negus of Upwell, Cambridgeshire, farmer, mortgaged for #188 to Hanslip Palmer of Upwell, gent (in the person of Seaman Garrard of Upwell, surgeon, Palmer's trustee) his life interest in 17 acres 'fen or marsh ground' in Cranemoor, Manea, Cambridgeshire (Doc 3774). In consideration of the sum owing to Palmer, and of a further #32, Negus now releases his freehold estate in the property, together with two life insurance policies, to John Hodson of Upwell, farmer and grazier. See also Doc 3776, 3777. Indenture, signed and sealed by both Negus and Hodson, witnessed by Emma Jane Dow and Hanslip Palmer; duty stamps.
