Administrative / Biographical History
Leicester Carriage Builders was formed in 1903 at Thornton Lane. This place soon became too small for their operations and they soon moved to Highcross Street, then Bond Street in 1905 followed by in 1913 to custom built premises in Marlow Road, Narborough Road. The first President of the Society was Councillor R Davis.
In 1983 the Society transferred to be part of Leicestershire Co-operative Society.
