Accounts and Balance Sheets

Scope and Content

The trade accounts concern the sales of the businesses such as grocery, drapery and furnishing etc. This is displayed in relation to the profit and loss for each store concerned with the different businesses.

The balance sheets contain a committee report, auditors report, and later editions include a Co-operative Party report. Inside there are separate balance sheets covering the expenses account, the investment account, the education department accounts, the land, building and fixtures account and the cash account. Later editions also include a sales comparison of the different business sales in the separate stores.

There is also an account book covering 2 Jan 1918- 12 Sep 1962.
