Scope and Content

The 300 Group held regional consultative conferences to learn more about their local branches activities. It also provided an opportunity to hold training sessions and workshops.

First Consultative Regional Conference - Sheffield City Polytechnic - Saturday 26 Apr 1986

Meeting chaired by Andrea Whalley, Vice-chair of the National Executive Committee.

Subjects discussed include: purpose of local groups, regional implications of the constitution, funding, political party contact in the regions, training.

Second Consultative Regional Conference - Bristol, Redland Park United Reform Church Conference Rooms - Saturday 22 Nov 1986

The theme of this conference was 'Towards the Next General Election and Beyond'. Also included are the responses to a conference evaluation form.

Third Regional Consultative Conference - Leeds City Polytechnic - Saturday 16 May 1987

The two main themes of this conference were 'Project 2000-Phase I' (The first phase was to ensure that 50% of candidate's lists were women by 1990) and 'The 300 Group in a General Election'
