Project 2000 was the central campaign of The 300 Group. Its aim was to see 300 or more women elected to Parliament by the year 2000, and to see that half the candidates in winnable, or marginal or even hopeless seats, were women by 1995. The first phase was to ensure that 50% of candidate's lists were women.
