Their children included Sir Alfred Amberson Barrington Marten (1870-1962), who became Chief Justice of Bombay; Sir Clarence Henry Kennet Marten (1872-1948), provost of Eton and historical tutor to Queen Elizabeth II; and Isabel Caroline Patricia Marten (1872-1967). Amberson married Fanny Lois Tarn (b.1874). Other family members featured in the collection are Alfred George Marten's father Robert Giles Marten (1792-1839) and his uncle George Marten (1801-1872), and Alice Francis Ida Marten (b.1878), a missionary in South Africa.
