Administrative / Biographical History
Administrative History The firm was established in Millwall, Middlesex in 1863 as a partnership between William Munton Bullivant, a sales representative for Frost Brothers and John Henry Allen who had formerly been in partnership in a Millwall firm of rope makers called Stephenson and Allen. Allen retired from the partnership in 1876. Bullivant and Co. became part of British Ropes in 1926.
