Records of the Tabernacl Welsh Independent Church, Pontardawe, 1885-2000, including annual reports, 1885-2000; records relating to chapel history, [c. 1990]; minutes of deacons' and church officers' meetings, 1957-1981; Sunday School and membership records, 1910-1988; letters of recommendation, 1881-1892; receipt and payment books 1972-1985; and records relating to chapel societies, 1959-1960.

Administrative / Biographical History

The cause at Tabernacl began in 1877 when a Sunday School was established at Oddfellows Hall in Pontardawe. Between 1880 and 1881 the chapel was built. It is the oldest chapel building in Pontardawe.

Arranged into the following: Annual Reports, chapel history, minutes of deacons' and church officers' meetings, Sunday School and membership records, letters of recommendation, receipt and payment books, and chapel societies.
