Scope and Content


(a) Letter (06 Sep 1804) from George Nayler, York Herald and Genealogist of the Bath, to Edwin Griffith, esq., enclosing a statement of fees due for recording the pedigree of Griffith in the books of the Most Honourable Military Order of the Bath, in connection with the election of Sir Alured Clarke, K.B., into the Order.

(b) Copies of Letters Patent of George III (08 May 1804) and warrant of the Duke of York, acting Great Master of the Order (17 Mar 1795), relating to the payment of such fees, reprinted from 'The London Gazette' (22 May 1804), 06 Sep 1804.
