Scope and Content

Records relating to the day-to-day administration of the Harris Tweed Association (1909-1993) and the Harris Tweed Authority (1993-present).

These administrative records are arranged into six series: governance, containing the official documents setting down the functions and governing the activities of the Harris Tweed Association and the Harris Tweed Authority; management meeting minutes and papers, containing the minutes and papers of meetings of the committee of management and board of directors; other meeting minutes and correspondence, containing the minutes and correspondence of other committees and meetings that the HTA has been involved in; buildings and facilities, containing records relating to the physical structures of HTA offices; staff, containing records relating to people management at the HTA; and office activities, relating to the day-to-day activities of the HTA offices.
