Correspondence relating to all aspects of publication of 'Healer' by Peter Dickinson, including editorial changes for the American edition; contracts and royalties; foreign language editions; film rights and reprints. The file includes correspondence from Hilary Rubinstein, Dickinson's agent at A.P. Watt Ltd.; Joanna Goldsworthy, Dickinson's British editor at Gollancz; Dell Publishing, Dickinson's American publisher; E.P. Dutton; Atlantic Monthly Press; and copies of some of Dickinson's outgoing letters. The file includes some very detailed correspondence between Dickinson and Olga Litowinsky, his editor at Dell, regarding the very stringent copy-editing done on the book by the American copy-editor, and Dickinson's objections to them being too correct in their use of English and thereby altering the 'voice' of the story.
