One handwritten agenda book with loose documents: three letters between Mr Bamford of the Co-operative Newspaper Society and Mr Barnes of the Co operative Printing Society regarding costs of producing Co-operative News dated May 1881, two copies of letter from Mr Barnes to Mr Bamford regarding the cost of printing the outside pages of Co-operative News separately and letter referring the issue to E V Neale of the Co-operative Union, two notes in shorthand, a letter from George Jacob Holyoake regarding a book produced by Bishop Barrington and the possibility of publishing it undated, a press cutting on the Society’s General Board Meeting in March 1882, letter from Lloyd Jones dated 14 April 1882 concerning the serialisation of his book. Notices to convene the quarterly meetings from May 1879 to October 1884 are pasted into the volume.
