Administrative / Biographical History
Ann Male was born in Birkenhead in 1912 and David Jones in Abergele in 1915. David Jones worked as a chaffeur and later as a maintenance fitter and mechanical engineer. David and Ann were married at St Michael's Church, Abergele in September 1937 and had four children, Mair, born 1938, Davida, born 1940 and Janet and John, born 1947 (John died 1984). David Jones was in the army during the Second World War. He was taken prisoner of war by the Italians at Tobruk in June 1942 and was later transferred to a German prisoner of war camp. After the war they were able to resume family life in Abergele. Ann Jones died in 1988 and David Jones in 2004.
