William Sulzer 1863-1941
Sulzer was born in Elizabeth, Union County, New Jersey on 18th March 1863.He was a member of the New York state assembly, 1890-1895 and was alsoSpeaker of the New York State Assembly, 1893. Sulzer was U.S.Representative from New York, 1895-1912 (11th District 1895-1903, 10thDistrict 1903-09, 16th District 1909-11, 10th District 1911-12). In 1912 hewas a delegate to Democratic National Convention from New York, 1912. He wasGovernor of New York, 1913, but was impeached and removed from office in thesame year. in 1914. Sulzer was also a member of the Freemasons. He died inNew York City, N.Y., November 6, 1941.
