Papers of Peryddon, 1799-1970, comprising original manuscripts, 1918-1947, including novels and short stories, 1938-1947, and notebooks relating to his army service, [1918]; cuttings from Y Rhedegydd, [20th century]; drawing book of I. D. Lloyd, [20th century]; magazines, programmes, pamphlets and other ephemera relating to the history and culture of Bala and Penllyn, 1838-1969, and the rest of Merionethshire, 1898-1962; and miscellaneous printed material, 1799-1970.

Administrative / Biographical History

J. H. (John Humphrey) Lloyd ('Peryddon', b. 1884) was a native of Bala, Merionethshire. During the First World War he served as a Private with the British Salonika Forces in Greece. He wrote short stories and novels (unpublished), and also collected materials relating to the history and culture of Bala.
