STUDIO PORTRAIT OF MRS SCHROEDER

Scope and Content

of Llandudno.

[Donor's note: reputedly an anti-Semite, Mrs Schroeder is said to have stood outside Marks & Spencer's store in Mostyn Street at the time of World War I and rolled marbles under the feet of Jewish people or tried to trip them up with her cane. There is also a story that she emigrated with her family to Canada and ended up working on the Canadian Pacific Railway as a detective.]
