The British Universities Association of Slavists was the professional association of British academic specialists in Russian language and literature from 1956-1988, when it merged with the National Association for Soviet and East European Studies to form the British Association for Soviet, Slavonic and East European Studies (subsequently renamed the British Association for Slavonic and East European Studies)
