Bundle of copy letters

Carbon copies of letters from Strachan to individual sculptors, galleries, universities, colleges, local authorities, arts councils, other arts organisations and companies. Some of these are responses to points made about the first edition of Open air sculpture in Britain, such as factual points and omissions. However, the bulk of the letters date from 1987 and relate to Strachan's research for the revised edition or supplement of the book. The bundle also includes: a list of exhibitions by Simon Thomas, photocopied from a printed source; and a photograph of Fish womb man, a stone sculpture by Colin Foster.
