A bundle of letters sent to Strachan which had not been bundled together or stored in a file. These include letters (three of which are incomplete) from colleges, arts organisations, galleries and sculpture parks. They relate to points raised about the first edition of Open air sculpture in Britain, and Strachan's research for the new edition or supplement. The material includes single letters from sculptors Hilary Cartmel (/24), Andrew Darke (/19) and Julie Livsey (/20). In addition to correspondence there is also: some photocopied information and sketches relating to a sculpture proposal by Sioban Coppinger entitled 'The Beeston Seat' (/10); copy typescript information about an installation called Truant Lion (/26); typescript list of sculptures sent by Peter Thursby (/27); photograph of a sculpture called To Helen by Naomi Blake at Young Court, Willesden, London (/3); photograph of an unattributed sculpture called Pyramid, located at Margaret Dane School, Bishop's Stortford College (/2); and a photograph of an unidentified sculpture.
