Association secretary's papers

Scope and Content

Consist of subject files and general papers containing a mixture of correspondence, newspaper cuttings, circulars, notes, copies etc. kept by the secretary or the assistant secretary, William R Hawkins and his son Vernon Willoughby Hawkins. The titles have been supplied from the front of the folder where possible

1920s: Willoughby R Hawkins

1930s: Vernon Willoughby Hawkins

1940s: Connellon and Kendrick

1950s: Vernon Willoughby Hawkins

No obvious filing system could be reconstructed, so the files have been listed in chronological order according to their contents. The material in the folders has been kept in its original order, which is largely, but not always, anti-chronological
