  • World Academy of Arts and Culture, 1986-1993. A prospectus of c 1986, a newletter of 1987 and papers for its 14th World Congress of Poets, Monterrey, Mexico, 1993. This body claims in the prospectus to have organised the World Congress of Poets from its inception in 1969, although the papers of the World Organization for Poets, below, seem to indicate that the Academy was not initially linked with the first eight conferences, the 7th and 8th of which, at least, were organised by a permanent secretariat under Mimmo Morina. The Academy held its version of the 9th congress in India and 13th congress in Mexico.
  • World Organization for Poets, 1984-1994. This began as the permanent secretariat under Mimmo Morina to organise at least the 7th to 9th World Congresses of Poets, in Morocco, Athens and Florence, respectively. Correspondence and papers from 1987 are headed World Organization for Poets, and this body, still with Morina as secretary, organised the 10th congress in Rethymno, Crete. Gascoyne was a member of the organisation's Cultural Committee. Included here is official and literary correspondence from Morina to Gascoyne, inlcuding two drafts of his 'Seven solitudes for an island', translated by Mark O'Connor.
