In the first section of the draft Graves writes on the subject of card games and gambling in an historical context; in the second section [page 24ff] he writes on sport and athletes in contemporary Britain and America, with a particular focus on the figure of the aviator Charles Lindburgh. A later file cover note, in an unidentified hand, suggests that this is a draft for an unpublished article for 'Epilogue'. Pages numbered 1, "3[/]4", "5[/]6", 9 to 13, "14[/]16", 17, 18, 24 to 30, 31A, 31B, 32 to 37, 38A to 38F. Pages 1, 9, 18, 28, 29, 33 and 34 consist of two fragments pasted together; pages "3[/]4" and "5[/]6" consist of three fragments pasted together; page 24 bears a pasted fragment; page 27 consists of two fragments pasted together and bears a further pasted fragment.
