Administrative / Biographical History

Aubrey Bush was a Nottinghamshire writer who regularly contributed articles and reviews to the Nottingham Evening Post as well as to a number of East Midlands periodicals such as Nottinghamshire Pictorial, Nottingham Topic and [East Midlands] Business. His poetry appeared in journals such as Poetry Nottingham and the journal of Poetry International.

During the 1960s, Bush published and edited his own literary paper, 'Publicity Review'. The paper's policy was to publicise the works of local writers, painters and composers and to promote closer contact and co-operation between them. He was also active in the Nottingham Writer's Club and was secretary of the Cosmopolitan Debating Society which met in Nottingham. Aubrey Bush died in 1996.
