Administrative / Biographical History

Albert Arthur Purcell was a Labour Party MP for Coventry in 1923-1924 and the Forest of Dean 1925-1929, while in the intervening years 1923-1927 he held the position of President of the International Federation of Trade Unions. He would later become the Secretary of Manchester and Salford Trades Council. He died in 1935.
