Scope and Content

This series contains draft papers and notes collated and produced by William Waugh in the course of the research and production of Charnley’s biography. It includes draft chapters, product information booklets, and correspondence with the companies who collaborated with Charnley in his work. Also included are papers and correspondence provided by Henry Hamilton, orthopaedic surgeon at the Port Arthur Clinic and archivist for the Charnley Low Friction Society.
