The series contains publications about the National Gallery. They include Select Committee reports, political pamphlets and Acts of Parliament.

Administrative / Biographical History

The Gallery has collected publications about itself since its foundation. Principally these relate to the governance of the Gallery although some publications have been kept which are of a more broad historical nature.

The publications have been listed in a broadly chronological order.

Custodial History

Many publications about the National Gallery do not fall within the collecting remit of the Gallery's Library. The publications have usually been collected as a consequence of the daily business of the Gallery and are now held in the Gallery's Archive.

Publications about the National Gallery will be added to this series once they have been received by the Archive.
